Le Prince was born on May 4, 1986, in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Growing up in a musical family, he was influenced by Surinamese traditional music, jazz, hip hop, classical, and reggae. After seeing Michael Jackson perform, he decided to pursue music professionally. He first gained attention performing Surinamese music at the Kwaku Festival. After difficult life experiences, he embraced Rastafari, which shaped his message and led him into reggae music. Inspired by artists like Bob Marley, he developed his own sound blending reggae with electronic elements. His breakout track was “Forgive Me,” produced by Leffy Ignacio Cairo. In 2010 he won an HIV awareness music campaign and received Best R.O.C. Artist from ROC Midden Nederland. His philosophy: Music is life — and his life is music.
